1. Introduction

Breathe - Thở Chánh Niệm ("the app") is a mindful breathing app for Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app stores, where it is stored, and your rights as a user.

2. No Account Required

The app does not require you to create an account or log in. All features are available without providing any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All data created while using the app is stored only on your device using local device storage (AsyncStorage). It is never transmitted to any server controlled by us.

Data stored locally includes:

• Breathing session history — date, technique used, duration, completion status. Capped at 500 entries.
• Streaks — current streak count, longest streak, and date of last session.
• Mood check-ins — optional mood ratings (1–5 scale) entered before and after breathing sessions.
• App preferences — selected breathing technique, session duration goal, language setting (Vietnamese or English), voice guidance on/off, ambient sound selection.
• Reminder settings — whether morning and evening reminders are enabled, and the times you have chosen.
• Onboarding status — a flag indicating whether the first-launch onboarding flow has been completed.
• Guided program progress — which program you are following, which day you are on, and which days you have completed.
• Weekly insight data — aggregated session and mood data used to generate your weekly breathing summary.

We do not have access to any of this data. It exists only on your device.

4. Notifications

The app can send optional local notifications:

• Daily breathing reminders — a morning and/or evening reminder at times you choose in Settings.
• Weekly insight notification — a brief summary of your week, sent on Sunday mornings.

These are local notifications scheduled entirely on your device. They are not sent from any server. We do not receive any information when a notification is delivered or tapped.

You can disable all notifications at any time in the app's Settings screen or in your device's system notification settings.

5. Progress Sharing

The app includes an optional "Share Progress" feature that creates a summary image of your streak and progress. This image is:

• Generated locally on your device.
• Shared only through your device's native share sheet (e.g., to a social app, messaging app, or saved to your camera roll).
• Not uploaded to any server operated by us.

We do not see, receive, or store any image you choose to share.

6. No Advertising

This version of the app does not display advertisements. We do not use any advertising SDK (such as Google AdMob) and do not collect or use any advertising identifier (such as IDFA on iOS or Advertising ID on Android).

7. No In-App Purchases

This version of the app does not offer in-app purchases. All features are free.

8. No Analytics or Crash Reporting

The app does not use analytics services (such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or Amplitude), crash reporting services (such as Sentry or Crashlytics), or any other third-party service that collects or transmits data about your usage.

9. No Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with any third party. There is no third-party SDK in this version of the app that collects or transmits data from your device.

10. Children

This app is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Data Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app. Uninstalling removes all locally stored app data including session history, streaks, mood check-ins, and preferences.

12. Changes to This Policy

If future versions of the app introduce advertising, in-app purchases, analytics, crash reporting, cloud sync, login/accounts, or any third-party SDK that collects or transmits data, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety declaration will be updated before that version is released. We will update the effective date at the top of this policy when changes are made.
